FPS - Approx. 300 The Hudson H9 was touted as the natural evolution of the 1911, melding the best aspects of the legendary pistol with modern technology and manufacturing processes. The real steel gun was originally released during SHOT Show 2017 to much fan fair and incredible hype. The design philosophy behind the H9 was to take the 1911 and evolve it for the 21st century. Their first order of business was to upgrade the traditional firing mechanism of the 1911 and replace it with a more reliable striker fire system and give it a modern trigger safety. However, unlike traditional striker fire pistols, they kept the superior trigger pull of the 1911 and kept the steel frame. In addition, they drastically changed the look of the gun by lowering the bore axis and extending the dust cover lower down -- which in turn gave it its futuristic look. Looks aside, with these changes to the gun, it made the pistol shoot extremely flat and break like a fine tuned 1911. The airsoft version from EMG is a highly faithful replication of the Hudson H9 as it is a fully licensed product. The airsoft gun also boasts the same feeling and ergonomics found on the real steel pistol. Powered by green gas, the gun is very snappy and though you won't get the same recoil impulse as a 9mm, the overall design becomes apparent when you shoot it in how it was made to help any shooter shoot flatter and faster. Sadly due to many reasons the real steel pistol is no longer being made, making this airsoft version highly collectible for any firearm enthusiasts and collectors alike.
